We’re seeking leaders who think beyond projects to improve the way we deliver them: individuals who elevate people, process, and performance across the firm. ### OVERVIEW Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a Project Designer to join our growing Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team supporting complex mission critical projects across the United States. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with professional Revit experience who is ready to further develop their VDC production and coordination skills. You’ll work alongside experienced VDC team members to model electrical systems in Revit, produce construction and shop drawings, and build hands-on experience supporting large-scale projects from design through construction. ### RESPONSIBILITIES - Model electrical systems in Autodesk Revit, including conduit, cable tray, electrical equipment, lighting, power, and supporting infrastructure - Support the production of construction models and shop drawings for fabrication and field installation - Translate engineering and construction drawings into accurate project models - Assist with drawing setup, sheet production, view creation, annotations, and model organization - Make model revisions and adjustments in Revit as projects develop - Support project coordination and deliverables alongside experienced VDC team members - Assist with project documentation and RFIs - Maintain model quality and follow established VDC standards and workflows - Continue developing technical modeling, constructability, and coordination skills ### QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of professional experience in VDC, BIM, drafting, design, construction technology, engineering, or a related field - Professional, hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit - Experience supporting the production of construction drawings, models, or project deliverables - Ability to read and interpret engineering or construction drawings - Ability to work effectively within a collaborative project team ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience modeling MEP systems in Revit - Electrical modeling or electrical construction experience - Exposure to Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or BIM 360 - Contractor-side VDC/BIM or construction experience - Exposure to mission critical or data center projects ### COMPENSATION - $65,000 + / year SMC offers a competitive benefits package, with a 36-hour standard work week, hybrid working arrangement, 13 paid holidays, 100% coverage of medical, health, and dental insurance premiums for our full-time employees, and reimbursement of professional licensing costs.
