**Veterinary Technician** **Salary:** $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. **Schedule:** This is a full-time position with the following typical hours. The schedule includes four weekday shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM,10:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Availability every Saturday is required. **Tenafly Veterinary Center is hiring full-time Veterinary Technician** to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. **What to Expect as a Vet Tech with Tenafly Veterinary Center** - A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and a 401(k) plan for full-time employees - Professional development opportunities - Employee pet discount because we know your pets are family, too. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery. - Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion. - Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates - Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. - Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing. - Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. - Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. **Qualifications:** - At least 1 year of veterinary experience required. - Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately. - Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions. - Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines. **About Tenafly Veterinary Center** Tenafly Veterinary Center and our sister hospital, Overpeck Creek Animal Hospital, have been proudly caring for pets and their families since 1995.
