Vice President, Investor Relations

Job description

Join d-Matrix and help build the future of AI inference. We’ve pioneered a memory-centric architecture that brings compute directly into memory, making AI faster, more energy efficient, and accessible on a global scale. From chips and software to rack-scale systems, our team is tackling some of AI infrastructure’s hardest challenges — and shipping breakthrough technology today. If you want to create what comes next and help make infinite inference possible, we’d love to hear from you. Our culture is built on respect, collaboration, and direct communication. We value humility, we believe our different perspectives lead to better solutions, and we’re looking for people who are driven by execution and energized by hard problems. **Role Overview** d-Matrix is a fast-growing, venture-backed AI inference semiconductor company. Our Corsair inference accelerator is built on Memory Centric Compute and paired with JetStream networking and Aviator software. Our next-generation Raptor platform uses 3D In-Memory Compute (3DIMC) to stack compute directly on DRAM and break the memory wall in AI inference. As our first VP of Investor Relations, you will build the IR function from the ground up and own how our technology, roadmap, and financial trajectory are explained to existing shareholders, prospective investors, and sell-side analysts as we prepare for the public markets. You will partner directly with the CEO, CFO, and executive team, and serve as the bridge between our engineers and the investment community. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York, with travel to our Santa Clara HQ and worldwide for investor and PR events as needed. **What You Will Do** - Define and execute a multi-year IR strategy aligned with corporate strategy, financing milestones, and the path to becoming a public company. - Own the d-Matrix equity story, including the shift from training to inference, the memory wall, how Memory Centric Compute and 3DIMC compare with GPUs, HBM-based systems, and custom ASICs, and the Corsair-to-Raptor roadmap. - Serve as the primary contact for existing shareholders and for prospective venture, growth, crossover, strategic, sovereign, and public-market investors, and build the investor pipeline and CRM. - Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Corporate Development on capital raises, including investor outreach, data room management, diligence responses, and coordination with banks and placement agents. - Author investor presentations, shareholder updates, executive scripts, and Q&A frameworks that translate technical milestones into clear investor messages, and maintain a single source of truth for key metrics and KPIs. - Build relationships with sell-side analysts and industry researchers, track public comparables and investor sentiment, and brief leadership and the Board on shareholder composition, market feedback, and peer activity. - Build IR infrastructure for a future IPO, including disclosure policy, Regulation FD protocols, quiet period guidelines, earnings scripts, mock earnings cycles, and the IR website, in partnership with Finance, Legal, and outside counsel. - Manage disclosure and confidentiality, align investor messaging with Marketing, Communications, Sales, and Legal, prepare executives for investor meetings and conferences, and hire and manage IR team members and external vendors. **What You Will Bring** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 8+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, equity research, buy-side investing, investment banking, or corporate and strategic finance, focused on AI hardware, semiconductors, or AI infrastructure software. - Working knowledge of the AI ecosystem, including training vs. inference, GPUs, custom silicon, high bandwidth memory, networking, and hyperscaler spending. - Established relationships with growth, crossover, and public-market investors, sell-side analysts, and investment banks. - Working knowledge of Regulation FD, SEC disclosure requirements, and the IPO process and roadshow. - Excellent financial modeling, valuation, writing, and presentation skills. - Experience building a function and team from scratch, with the judgment, independence, and integrity to handle material non-public information and work across Finance, Technology, and Business. Willingness to travel for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows. **Preferred Qualifications** - Deep technical fluency in AI inference and memory technology, with the ability to explain concepts such as memory bandwidth, energy per token, and 3D stacking credibly to a financial audience. - Strong understanding of semiconductor business models, including fabless economics, gross margin drivers, supply and capacity, backlog, and customer concentration. - Experience in a private financing round or IPO. - MBA or CFA designation. - Proficiency with investor CRM and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ. **Equal Opportunity Employment Policy** d-Matrix is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and affirmative action employer. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed and empowered to do their best work. We hire the best talent for our teams, regardless of race, religion, color, age, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ancestry, genetic information, marital status, national origin, political affiliation, or veteran status. Our focus is on hiring teammates with humble expertise, kindness, dedication, and a willingness to embrace challenges and learn together every day. d-Matrix does not accept resumes or candidate submissions from external agencies. We appreciate the interest and effort of recruitment firms, but we kindly request that individuals interested in opportunities with d-Matrix apply directly through our official channels. This approach allows us to streamline our hiring processes and maintain a consistent and fair evaluation of all applicants. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
