VP, Brand Marketing

Job description

About Us Little Sleepies is one of the fastest growing companies in America, according to Inc. Magazine (#1 in retail). We make days and nights easier with super-soft yet impressively durable, thoughtfully designed products that families love. Featuring prints kids are obsessed with and fabrics parents trust, every piece is made to feel good, fit right, and get worn on repeat. Rooted in innovation and driven by care, our signature fabrics — Lunaluxe® and Soluxe® — are custom-developed to support the way kids move, sleep, and grow. As we continue expanding beyond our core sleep franchise, we are building a true omni-channel brand designed for long-term, sustainable growth. Location Minimum three days in our state-of-the-art headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. About The Role Little Sleepies is entering its next chapter of growth, and we need the brand leader who will turn Little Sleepies into one of the most emotionally resonant family brands in America while our growth engine scales alongside it. We are looking for a VP, Brand Marketing who can own the full brand marketing engine end to end including: voice, storytelling, community, culture, and marketing production and translate it into a system that a fast-growing, omni-channel business can run on. This is a leader who thinks like a marketer and operates like a builder: someone who can partner closely with our VP of Product & Creative to bring our creative vision and standards to life across brand marketing, build a system the team can run on at volume, and prove the commercial impact of the work. The VP, Brand Marketing will own brand strategy, planning and execution across every customer touchpoint, building the team, operating rhythm, and standards that allow Little Sleepies to show up unmistakably as itself at scale. You will be a key strategic partner to the CEO, the VP of Product & Creative and to the broader leadership team. This is a senior leadership role with meaningful scope and the runway to grow with the business. This role reports directly to the CEO. What You’ll Do Brand Strategy & Storytelling Own and evolve the Little Sleepies brand marketing and go-to-market strategy as we expand beyond sleepwear into multiple family lifestyle categories. Set the brand strategy across site, email, social, retail, PR and experiential, tailoring it by audience and category while maintaining one distinctive, modern and emotionally resonant brand. Translate business and growth priorities into emotionally resonant, commercially effective campaigns. Build Little Sleepies beyond its category leadership into a culturally relevant family lifestyle brand, identifying opportunities to enter the broader conversation through creators, talent, partnerships, founder storytelling, earned moments, and unexpected activations. Partner with the Sr. Director of Commercialization on the launch and scaling of our proprietary character franchise, ensuring brand and IP storytelling compound rather than compete. Team & Function Leadership Build, lead and develop a high-performing brand organization, setting a high bar for brand excellence, accountability and cross-functional collaboration. Own the brand calendar and go-to-market process from creative brief through activation and post-launch analysis, establishing the project management systems and playbooks that allow a growing volume of campaigns, drops and collaborations to run with precision, speed and consistency. Manage agency and creative partners, ensuring high-quality output and cost efficiency. Community, Social, Influencer & PR Oversee organic social strategy and execution, building a distinctive, culturally fluent social voice and content strategy across existing and emerging platforms. Evolve our highly engaged customer community and ambassador programs, deepening advocacy and emotional connection while protecting the authenticity that makes the community special. Lead creator, influencer, collaboration and brand partnership strategy, identifying opportunities that authentically extend Little Sleepies into family, lifestyle and culture. Oversee earned media and PR, securing coverage that amplifies the Little Sleepies voice and builds durable share-of-voice. Measurement & Commercial Accountability Translate brand storytelling into measurable impact on acquisition, retention, and LTV in partnership with Analytics and Lifecycle. Own the brand function’s budget and resourcing, and report on brand-health metrics, content performance, and creative ROI to the CEO and leadership team. Serve as a key strategic thought partner to the CEO, and represent the brand function within the broader marketing leadership team. What You’ll Bring to the Team 12+ years of brand marketing leadership within a high-growth consumer or lifestyle brand, with meaningful ownership of brand strategy, campaigns, social, community, partnerships, and/or content. A track record of building and leading high performing teams across some combination of community, social, influencer/partnerships, copy, or project management. Exceptional brand instincts and storytelling skills, with a track record of building emotionally resonant narratives, campaigns and activations that deliver measurable commercial results. Deep experience building distinctive multi-channel consumer brands, with the ability to drive brand consistency and executional excellence across social, video, photography, editorial and other customer touchpoints. Deep understanding of social platforms, creator culture, and how modern consumer brands earn attention rather than simply buy it. Strong understanding of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing, with the ability to tailor messaging for new and returning audiences across multiple categories. Fluency with AI tools and emerging technologies, with a track record of using them to increase creative velocity, team efficiency, and marketing effectiveness. Experience building a premium, highly distinctive consumer brand strongly preferred; family, kids, or baby category experience is a plus, but not required. LA-based or ability to relocate. What We’re Excited to Offer You The chance to lead brand marketing for one of the most-loved family brands in America, at the inflection point where it becomes a true omni-channel business A close partnership with the CEO and a seat shaping the company’s next chapter A growing business backed by a world-class partner and a leadership team that values integrity, balance, and growth A supportive environment that fosters and encourages new ideas and innovation The opportunity to stock your drawers with Little Sleepies!
