Warehouse Team Leader

Job description

**The Opportunity** Ready to step up? Join Beaver Process Equipment in Embleton as our hands-on Warehouse Team Leader. **🏭 Hands-on warehouse role** – keep orders moving in a busy, well-organised operation. 👥 **Great team environment** – work alongside an experienced 5-person warehouse team. **🔒 Stable, long-term opportunity** – we don’t hire often, and when we do, it’s for the long haul. Perfect for an experienced Storeperson or Warehouse Operator who takes initiative, leads by example and is ready for the next step – without formal people-management responsibilities. **The Role** You’ll lead from the front to keep our warehouse running smoothly, safely, and on schedule. Your key responsibilities will include: 👥 **Leading the team** – running the morning toolbox, allocating daily tasks across the 5-person team, onboarding/training, clearing floor bottlenecks, and maintaining tempo. 🚜 **Hands-on warehouse operations** – leading by example on the floor – operating forklifts, loading/unloading, receiving, picking, packing, booking transport, and updating the system. 🖥️ **ERP & inventory accuracy** – prompt, error-free system transactions in our ERP (SAP Business One) for receipts, picks, deliveries, and coordinating cycle counts. 🦺 **Frontline safety** – daily equipment pre-start checks, safety oversight, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) loading compliance, and clean warehouse housekeeping. 📦 **Consumables & maintenance** – keeping packaging consumables stocked and booking routine servicing for forklifts, cranes, and waste removal. This is a hands-on warehouse role, not a formal staff-management position. You’ll spend most of your day on the floor, taking initiative and helping your teammates stay on track. **Why Join Us?** This role offers a great next step for a capable warehouse operator seeking stability, clear processes and a supportive team. Key reasons this is a great opportunity: 🔒 **Secure, long-term role** – full-time, permanent, with above-award pay + overtime. 📏 **Well-organised warehouse** – Structured processes and well-defined tasks, no guesswork. **🤝 Great team & supportive manager** – no egos, no drama, great people. **📈 Opportunities to grow** – Develop skills & grow over time. **👨‍👩‍👦 Family-friendly hours** – Mon-Fri, 7:00am to 3:30pm. No working Xmas or Easter. **🏢 Great facility** – modern warehouse, free on-site parking, coffee & snacks. **🎯 Prime spot** – located in Embleton (next to new Morley train station, easy commute). If you enjoy hands-on work, take ownership and like helping a team get things done, this role is for you. **About You** You’ll be a reliable, experienced warehouse operator who leads by example, takes pride in what they do, and brings a positive, team-first attitude every day. Key things we're looking for: ✅ **Warehouse experience:** Proven background in a fast-paced, structured warehouse (e.g., FMCG, retail DC, or high-volume wholesale). ✅ **Initiative & confidence:** Comfortable helping coordinate daily tasks, checking on progress and reminding colleagues of priorities. Formal team leadership experience is not required. ✅ **Licences:** Valid Forklift ticket (LF) and C-Class Driver's Licence. ✅ **Computer fluency:** Confident using warehouse ERP/WMS systems (SAP Business One experience is a bonus). ✅ **Physically fit:** Most of your day is active floor work hands-on alongside your team. ✅ **Values & attitude:** Friendly, approachable, reliable, and always willing to help teammates. ✅ **Easy commute:** Ideally located within an easy local commute of Embleton. **How to Apply** Apply now with your resume. A short note about your warehouse experience and why you’re ready to step up is welcome. 1. Why this role appeals to you? 2. Why you’d be a great fit for the team? We’d love to hear from experienced Storepeople and Warehouse Operators who are proactive, team-focused and looking for a stable, long-term role.
