## **About the Internship** WebFX is seeking an intern for our web development team! Our ideal candidate is either a current college student or a recent college grad, with a history of strong academics, and an interest in pursuing a career in web development. Classroom-level coding skills are expected, but no experience is required - as an intern, you're here to start building that experience! ## **Internship Logistics: What to Know** - This is an in-person internship, based at [our riverside campus](https://www.webfx.com/about/offices/harrisburg/mansionfx/) in Harrisburg, PA - This internship is flexible with hours and days - we will work with our interns to determine a schedule that is a mutual fit - Interns will enjoy their own work space and tech set-up at our office, along with the ability to wear jeans/casual dress to work each day ## **The Qualifications: Who You Are** **Education** - A Bachelor's Degree: Either in Progress or Completed - *All Majors Welcome!* - GPA: 3.4 or above **Suggested Experience and Skills** - Strong communication skills - Knowledge of at least one open-source CMS platform (for example, Wordpress, etc) - Familiarity with both object-oriented and procedural programming methodologies - Familiarity with PHP/MySQL - Knowledge of IDEs, such as Eclipse - Eagerness to learn and be trained! **Qualities and Traits** - You're passionate about web/software development - you even find yourself spending your free time tinkering and learning new technologies! - You're professional, dependable, and self-motivated - You take pride in your work and always strive for high-quality results - You work with urgency and enjoy getting things done - You're proactive when it comes to solving problems - You're a lifelong learner, and are always looking to stretch and grow your skills - You love thinking both creatively and analytically, and love using data to make decisions ## **The Internship Responsibilities: What You'll Learn to Do** Under the guidance of senior-level mentors, interns in this position can expect to: - Work alongside our full-time web developers to assist them in various client projects and assignments - Program, implement, test, and support a variety of web-based projects using the LAMP solution stack of software - Perform debugging and problem-solving across a wide variety of open-source platforms (Wordpress, etc) - Troubleshoot web browser issues - Gain practice in explaining technical ideas and designs to peers and management ## **The Benefits: What You'll Get** **Comprehensive Training and Hands-On Industry Experience** - World-class on-the-job training from our team of web developers and industry experts - The chance to learn and practice cutting-edge web development tools and techniques in a real-world environment at a top-ranked agency **Career Development Support and Potential for Growth** - Hands-on coaching and individualized mentorship with managers to support learning and development - Letters of recommendation are provided - We are always open to considering interns for potential full-time roles after graduation as well! **Compensation** - $22/hour
