You will ensure a high standard of care through leadership, training, clinical oversight, and hands-on support. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Supervise medication technicians and caregiving staff, ensuring accurate shift handoffs and timely documentation. - Oversee and maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records related to medications, treatments, and resident care. - Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers; compile and manage medical charts. - Lead implementation of infection control policies, including COVID-19 protocols, visitation guidelines, and staff compliance measures. - Coordinate and monitor resident medical appointments and transportation logistics. - Triage residents experiencing health changes or urgent needs and provide immediate clinical support. - Address resident and family concerns with professionalism and compassion. - Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members. - Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations of wellness staff. - Develop and lead training sessions, in-services, and mentoring programs to promote best practices. - Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure timely ordering and stocking. - Conduct regular audits of documentation and systems to ensure compliance and quality improvement. - Provide medication and caregiving support as needed, including administering medications, triaging incidents, and updating care plans. - Uphold infection control procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. - Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and resident care. **JOB DETAILS** - **Pay Rate: $51.64/hr** - **Hours: AM shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM; PM: 3 PM - 11:30 PM ; NOC: 11 PM - 7:30 AM** - - **Days: Varies; However, largest need is on the AM shift on Sundays.** - **Unit: Assisted Living** **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Current and active State of California LVN or RN license required. - Minimum of two (2) years of recent LVN nursing experience and/or two (2) years of experience in assisted living as a Medication Technician or Caregiver in a similar community. - New RN graduates may be considered. - Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. - Experience in assisted living preferred. - High school diploma or GED required; coursework in medical terminology or health services preferred. - Current CPR/First Aid certification required. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to delegate, lead a team, and manage multiple priorities effectively. - Knowledge of elderly care standards, infection control practices, and universal precautions. - Demonstrated compassion for older adults and commitment to providing high-quality care. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and provide hands-on clinical support for extended periods. - Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents in accordance with safe body mechanics. - Ability to respond promptly to medical emergencies. - Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. **OUR INVESTMENT IN YOU** Comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; a **403(b) Retirement Plan**; **Paid Time Off (PTO)**; **Tuition Reimbursement**; **Commuter Benefits**; and **Weekday Shuttle Service to and from Glen Park BART Station**. ***The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
