About the Role As a Warehouse Technician / Delivery Driver at Swagelok Texas Mid-Coast (STMC) , you’ll play an important role both inside our warehouse and out in the field with our customers. This position combines hands-on warehouse responsibilities with the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of Swagelok products throughout our service territory. You’ll help receive, organize, pick, pack, and prepare customer orders—and then represent STMC professionally when delivering those products to our customers. Because you may be one of the STMC associates our customers see face-to-face, this role is about more than making deliveries. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, customer-focused, and takes pride in representing our team well. What You’ll Do Customer Deliveries Safely operate company vehicles to deliver customer orders throughout assigned delivery routes. Load, organize, secure, and verify products before leaving STMC to ensure deliveries are complete and accurate. Plan and follow safe, efficient delivery routes while meeting customer commitments. Unload products and assist customers at delivery locations as needed. Obtain required customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery documentation. Return signed delivery receipts, customer paperwork, product returns, and other materials to STMC. Communicate customer questions, concerns, compliments, and feedback to the appropriate STMC team member. Maintain professional, courteous relationships with customers during every interaction. Assist with expedited or special deliveries and other transportation needs as business needs require. Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, stock, pick, pack, and prepare customer and production orders. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper product identification, barcode scanning, stocking, and material handling. Inspect products for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns and report issues promptly. Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work areas. Support warehouse operations before and after delivery routes. Follow STMC safety policies, quality standards, warehouse procedures, and 5S practices. Participate in continuous improvement efforts that improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Cross-train in warehouse functions to build skills and provide additional support to the team. Vehicle Care & Safety Perform required daily vehicle inspections and immediately report maintenance or safety concerns. Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, fueled, organized, and ready for operation. Ensure required supplies, delivery materials, and PPE are maintained in the vehicle. Properly load and secure products to prevent damage and ensure safe transportation. Follow traffic laws, applicable DOT requirements, and all STMC driver and vehicle safety policies. Exercise good judgment and stop or delay a delivery when vehicle or driving conditions are unsafe, notifying the appropriate supervisor. Most importantly, you understand that when you're at a customer's location, you represent STMC . You are professional, helpful, dependable, and communicate customer feedback back to our team. What You Bring High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Strong commitment to safe and defensive driving practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy. Dependability and the ability to manage time and schedules effectively. Professional, courteous communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while also being a strong member of the warehouse team. Sound judgment and basic problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate warehouse and material-handling equipment. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Ability and willingness to learn route planning, GPS/navigation systems, barcode scanners, SAP/QT9, shipping software, Outlook, Teams, and other company systems. Previous warehouse, delivery, shipping/receiving, inventory, or customer service experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn and contribute is equally important. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on warehouse and delivery position. To successfully perform the essential functions of the role, an associate must be able to: Regularly stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Sit for periods of time while operating a company vehicle and traveling between customer locations. Frequently bend, reach, stoop, squat, and perform movements associated with picking, packing, stocking, loading, and unloading materials. Regularly use hands and arms to handle, move, package, load, unload, and organize products. Safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds , with or without reasonable accommodation. Safely enter and exit company vehicles throughout the workday. Safely operate warehouse and material-handling equipment as required. Perform work requiring attention to product identification, labeling, delivery documentation, order accuracy, traffic conditions, and safe material handling. Warehouse duties are primarily performed in a clean, organized, air-conditioned warehouse environment . Delivery responsibilities require driving and working at customer locations and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, outdoor temperatures, traffic, loading/unloading areas, and customer or industrial environments.
