Project Planning & Delivery:
Lead the full project lifecycle for key yuu product and technology initiatives — from discovery and scoping through development, testing, pilot, and launch. Own detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Act as the central point of coordination across Product, Engineering (frontend/backend), Payment Hub, Group IT (POS/Kiosk), Commercial, Marketing, and external partners. Ensure clear communication, aligned priorities, and timely decision-making.
Scope, Risk & Dependency Management:
Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks and cross-team dependencies (especially POS changes, bank integrations, and Backend/Frontend capacity). Manage scope changes and trade-offs with stakeholders.
Governance & Reporting:
Establish and run project governance (steering committees, weekly status, RAID logs). Provide clear, concise progress reporting and escalation to senior leadership.
Agile Delivery Support:
Work within Agile frameworks — facilitate sprint planning alignment, remove blockers, and ensure smooth collaboration between Product Owners, Scrum teams, and business stakeholders.
Vendor & Partner Management:
Coordinate with external technology and business partners on integration timelines, testing, and certification activities.
Launch Readiness:
Drive end-to-end launch readiness including UAT coordination, operational readiness, training, and post-launch hypercare.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Experience: Snr Project Manager (min. 10+ years)/ Project Manager (Minimum 5+ years of project management experience)
, with at least 2-3 years managing complex digital product or technology initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in loyalty, retail, fintech, or consumer platforms is strongly preferred.
Track Record:
Proven ability to deliver multi-workstream, multi-stakeholder digital projects involving product, engineering, and external partners (e.g. payment providers, banks, POS vendors).
Technical Understanding:
Solid understanding of digital product development lifecycles, APIs, payment flows, and system integrations. Ability to engage meaningfully with engineering and architecture teams.
Methodologies:
Strong experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional project management practices. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are an advantage.
Stakeholder Management:
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to align diverse internal and external stakeholders and drive decisions.
Analytical & Organisational Skills:
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex dependency maps, risk registers, and progress tracking. Proficiency with project tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent) and data visualisation for reporting.
Domain Knowledge:
Familiarity with loyalty platforms, customer engagement, omnichannel retail, or digital payments is highly desirable.
Language:
Fluent English is required. Cantonese and/or Mandarin are strong advantages.
